Looking for that creative push?

As a creative, you probably find yourself in creative slumps. You want to be creating great work but you can’t get over your creative block.

By doing 12by30, you challenge yourself to create. It’s not a personal blog or something that you can just give up on. Why? It’s because everyone is watching.

If you want to force yourself to create or to be more creative, then 12by30 is for you. Yes, there are days where you think, “Why did I sign up for this?” or, “I don’t feel an ounce of creativity.” The thing is, you will be surprised how great it feels to just start on something and share it with a community.

The Skinny

There are some details that you should keep in mind.

You can only do visual work. That means, you can do doodles, illustrations, posters, animated GIFs, or anything that can be visualized.

You must submit by midnight in your timezone. Granted there is some leeway as some people have different schedules than others, but all entries must be submitted by midnight Hawaii-Aleutian time.

If you miss three days, you are out. We understand that it’s really hard to do 30 days of work, but if you miss three days we have to let you go.

No recycling. Sorry, but do not place any old work. We want you to start a fresh idea every day.

You must relax. Not everything you submit has to be a work of art. The point is to have fun and get your creative gears rolling. Plus, this is not a contest.

The After Party

At the end of the event we will be having a gallery showing in which you can showcase some of your favorite pieces from 12by30.

At this event you will get to meet your fellow 12by30ers and also enjoy beverages and food.

Unfortunately, this will be a one night affair in Phoenix, Arizona. Once we have secured the next 12 we will have the date, location, and all the details posted.

Submit Your Portfolio
